A scalable SaaS platform for workshops, built end-to-end—app and website
tailorbird is a scalable SaaS platform for order and service-ticket management, built by HeyMaia end-to-end—the application itself and its public marketing site. Every order is logged with who dropped it off, when it's due, and what's still owed—opened from a phone or computer, nothing to install.
The Challenge
Workshops and made-to-order businesses were running entirely on paper—notebooks, loose slips, WhatsApp chains. Orders got buried and missed, delivery dates lived only in the owner's head, totals were re-added by hand for the accountant, deposits and partial payments across months were hard to reconcile, and there was no visibility into which clients or services actually paid off. Everything depended on one person remembering everything.
Our Solution
We built the platform end-to-end: a Next.js + NestJS + PostgreSQL application, containerized with Docker, with Stripe handling subscription billing for the paid plans. Every order gets a folio from intake to delivery; the team sees the same real-time board of what needs attention today; clients get a WhatsApp-ready notification when their order is ready; payments in MXN and USD are tracked with automatic balance and exchange-rate calculation; and the full ledger exports to Excel in three clicks for the accountant. We also built the public marketing and waitlist site in Astro and Tailwind.
